Our Telecom Services
These are the core services we offer at RAA Fiber that keep networks moving.
Directional drilling
Directional drilling is your most efficient way to install fiber lines. Instead of cutting trenches through roads, sidewalks, and landscaping, we steer the drill underground to create a clean path for the cable. This keeps the surface above almost untouched, saving you time...and also reducing disruption for your community.
We use modern drilling rigs with advanced tracking systems. This lets us guide the drill head with pinpoint accuracy. We can cross beneath streets, parking lots, rivers, and other barriers that would be expensive or disruptive to dig through. We map and monitor every inch of the drill’s path so the conduit ends up exactly where it needs to be.
This approach is also safer for nearby utilities. We work around gas lines, water lines, and other buried infrastructure with care. Before we drill, we 1) plan the route, 2) verify depths, and 3) use detection equipment to avoid conflicts.
Directional drilling is especially useful in areas with heavy traffic or sensitive landscapes. It lets projects move forward without long road closures or costly restoration work. Our crews are experienced in all soil types, from loose sand to solid rock. We also know how to adjust their technique to keep progress steady.
By using directional drilling, RAA Fiber helps clients save time, reduce costs, and protect the environment around the worksite. It's one of the most reliable ways to build modern telecom networks quickly with minimal disruption.
Aerial Cable Installation
Not every fiber line belongs underground. Sometimes the best way to get your network connected is to run it overhead. That’s where our aerial cable installation work comes in.
We’ve spent years installing fiber on poles, towers, and other overhead structures. Our crews are trained to work safely at heights and around existing power and utility lines. We bring the right gear and the right experience so the job gets done without unnecessary risk.
Aerial installation is often the best choice in rural areas or along highways where digging isn’t practical. It can also be the faster, more cost-effective option when you need to cover long distances or get service running quickly. We know how to tension the cables properly, secure the hardware, and protect it all from wind, ice, and weather.
Safety is always at the front of our minds. We plan every step to keep traffic flowing and crews protected while we work. We also stay in touch with local utilities and inspectors to make sure every pole attachment and crossing meets code.
When we’re done, you get more than a cable in the air. You get a strong, stable connection that can stand up to the elements and keep your network running for years. That’s why clients trust us to handle their aerial work. We do it right the first time, so you don’t have to worry about it later.
Fiber Splicing
Fiber splicing is where the real connection happens. Every strand of fiber we join carries thousands of signals, so the quality of each splice matters.
A bad splice can slow down an entire network. That’s why we treat it like the most detailed part of the job.
Our technicians are specialists. They’ve spent years learning how to handle fiber carefully, cut it cleanly, and fuse it so the signal stays strong. We use high-quality splicing machines and test every connection as we go.
We don’t guess. We make sure it’s right before moving to the next step.
We also know that many of our projects aren’t just about new builds. Sometimes you’re expanding a system or repairing damaged lines. Our crews can step in, find the problem, and fix it without slowing down your operations.
When you hire us, you get more than a service. You get a partner who understands that your network depends on the details. We make sure each splice is as strong and reliable as the next, so your system performs the way you expect — day after day, year after year.
Excavation
Every strong network starts with a solid foundation. Sometimes that means opening the ground the old-fashioned way. When your project calls for digging — whether it’s for a new fiber route, a cell tower base, or to reach existing lines — we’re ready to handle it.
Excavation can be tricky work. There are other utilities underground, soil conditions that change from one site to the next, and schedules that don’t stop just because the ground is tough. That’s why we bring experienced operators who know how to plan the dig, protect what’s already there, and keep the site safe for everyone around it.
We don’t just show up with machines. We start by learning the site. We locate existing utilities, map out the route, and talk with you about any challenges we see. Then we dig with care, keeping the job as neat and efficient as possible.
When the digging is done, we don’t leave a mess behind. We backfill, restore, and clean up so your site is ready for the next stage. That attention to detail is one of the reasons clients keep coming back to us.
Excavation might not be the flashiest part of a project, but it’s one of the most important. When it’s done right, everything that comes after, from conduit installation to fiber splicing, goes more smoothly. We take pride in doing it right so you can move forward with confidence.
